Co-op Solutions and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals have been partners since 1996, raising millions of dollars together through the Credit Unions for Kids program. In 2022 alone, Co-op funds, through the flagship program called Miracle Match, helped raise over $4 million!

At THINK 2023, Co-op Solutions is encouraging attendees, and all clients, to participate one of three ways.

New this year is a Rubber Duck Race! Representatives from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals will be selling Rubber Ducks; $10 for one or $20 for three. Join us on Thursday during lunch at the pool to watch the highly anticipated duck race. The person with the winning duck will receive a $100 gift card to CMN Hospitals 'Miracle Mall' to update your wardrobe.

ATM Fee Campaign

CU4Kids believes the campaign that offers the best ROI to credit unions is donating a portion of ATM Transaction Fees. Two credit unions that currently facilitate this fundraiser raise over six figures each year: Wescom Credit Union and Desert Financial Credit Union.

It's simple to get started: let your Co-op Solutions Rep know that you want to increase the fee on your ATMs (likely by $1), order clings from CU4Kids Resource Library to put on each terminal, and at the end of the year calculate the total transactions by donation amount per transaction and send a check to CMN Hospitals. Finally, celebrate the impact you made with your community!

CU4Kids offers credit unions a variety of easy ways to make a positive impact in their community. Check out the 'campaigns' tab on this website to learn more about what other credit unions find effect.

However, if those traditional methods are not the right fit for your credit union, consider putting together a team that can create a creative initiative specific to your credit union. We've seen bowl-a-thons, cornhole tournaments, gelatin olympics, virtual hot dog eating contests, employee spirit weeks, and more.

Join or create a local committee

Credit Unions for Kids helps to foster cooperation among credit unions. Troy Stang, President/CEO of NWCUA says, "One reason the Northwest Credit Union Association loves CU4Kids is because it allows credit unions to work together in a fun and meaningful way that makes a difference for the hospitals, for the kids, and for their families. That collaboration translates into how Northwest credit unions work together serving their members and communities.”

The best example of credit unions collaborating on CU4Kids is through local committees. Currently 15 CU4Kids committees exist across the US. These are groups of credit union professionals that work together planning events and other fundraising campaigns to benefit their local children's hospital.

If you live in a community that has an existing committee, CU4Kids can connect you to it. If yours doesn't, we'll work with you to create one.
